A man awaiting trial for an alleged DUI crash in which two Prestonsburg High School students were killed is asking to have his bond reduced. Marcus Auxier of Nippa was indicted last month for the July 2023 crash in which he was driving with five passengers when his pickup truck rolled over, killing 16-year-old Kendra Moreno and 13-year-old MaKenna Barnett and hurting three others. Mountain Top News reports Auxier is facing two counts of murder, three counts of wanton endangerment, DUI and more. He is currently being held in the Floyd County Detention Center on a $1 million full cash bond. On Tuesday a Floyd Circuit Court judge will consider a motion to reduce the bond.
