Arson and other charges have been filed against a Phelps man for allegedly setting fire to his wife’s family’s home. Kentucky State Police allege last Monday Bruce Hurley set fire to the family’s trailer, and they claim he took pictures of the fire and sent them to his wife with a warning message. The Appalachian News Express reports a trooper spotted Hurley’s car and tried to stop it but he allegedly fled into Virginia, at some point allegedly making threats toward law enforcement.
