There’s no school today at Letcher Elementary and Middle School because of a Monday afternoon fire on the Middle School side in the library. School officials say it happened around 3:20 pm after all the kids were gone. They did not specify what touched it off but say the fire department responded immediately and got it out with minor damage around the library circulation desk. No one was hurt. They canceled school today to allow for adequate cleaning but plan to be back on Wednesday.
