Sheriff Releases More Details on Police Standoff in Harlan County

We’re learning more about a police standoff that happened Monday in Harlan County. The Sheriff says a deputy tried to stop a car in Cawood when Nicholas Holliman jumped out and ran into a home on Sawmill Hollow Road and apparently barricaded the door with some furniture. The deputy says Holliman could be seen wielding a knife and allegedly said “you will have to kill me”. After some negotiations Holliman gave up and was arrested. The Sheriff says he is charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing police, menacing and has several warrants out of Madison County
