HAZARD, Ky. (WXKQ) – An Appalachian Regional Healthcare employee is being recognized for her leadership and service to Kentucky’s foster children.
Letcher County native Cameron Faris, founder of the nonprofit Dreams Delivered Daily, has been selected for the BRIGHT Kentucky Class of 2026, a leadership development program for young professionals across Appalachia.
Faris launched the nonprofit last year to provide personalized birthday celebrations for children in foster care.
Since then, the organization has grown from an initial goal of serving 52 children to celebrating more than 240 birthdays in its first year, with more than 350 expected this year.
